is a VIP in the epiphyte scene. His garden, located on the pacific coast, sometimes appears like a jungle. Plants are growing everywhere - and if not he forwards the plant to someone else, who is living in the appropriate climate. As the editor of the monthly issued "EPIGRAM" he is sharing his experience and the experience of others with friends of the epiphytes all over the world. His knowledge about the right soil for the different species is part of it. October 2002 Dr. Dick Kohlschreiber was awarded with the National Voluntary Service Award in recognition of his 25 years' effort in promoting botanical knowledge, preservation and culture of epiphytic plants. back
